Stages

Stages of life pass us by
First, we are baby’s dependent on those around us
Then we are children learn to run, jump and have fun
Followed by those teen years between a child and adult
As we begin our adult years there comes new experiences                                       From marriage to parenthood
Watching our children grow as we go along in our own lives
Growing through those stages of life we once traipsed
Then they reach that time for marriage and starting their own families
Becoming in-laws then grandparents
Oh grandparents a stage I recently came into
How wonderful it has been to watch my baby grow up and have her own baby
As I held my grandson for the first time
The magic of seeing my own daughter as a baby returned
Such a small little person, but so incredible to behold
That love of a child raised tenfold
How fascinated I was just to watch him there
A miracle that started when I met such a beautiful person so long ago
How our love created our own family which now has grown larger you see
Being a grandparent is a badge I wear with pride
A name I love to hear told into my ear
Thank you, Lord, for another wonderful gift
So perfectly made by the hand who made us all

Kissing Curse

Oh what a wicked one was she
An entrancing beauty both inside and out
Men couldn’t help but notice her as she passed them by
Filling them with a deep want to know her more
Her teasing ways led many astray
On rocks they crashed
Where their hearts were dashed
Fluttering her eyes and entrancing them with her smile
Let all the gents beguiled
This power she had was what she craved
But under this came a downfall so steep
On so many with her wickedness she did slay
Making them fall for her so deep
But when they felt they had caught her
A feeling came to them so perverse
What a sickening feeling inside did stir
On those lips dripped the poison of her kissing curse
They would lose their mind
And their life in time!

Invincible Endeavors

Always attempting what was thought impossible
Trying things that others said was crazy
But he said all was possible
He said those others were just lazy
Incredible feats
Improbable acts
He thought never of defeat
It was all just facts
Within his mind stood no denying
All who saw said never say never
The fear would leave the crowd crying
For he accomplished such invincible endeavors
Until he choked on a piece of bread
And ended up dead

A Long Walk Back

Lost for so long

Two souls separated along a path

Two hearts meant to be together

Trying to find a safe way out

Looking, searching for the best way back

Slowly finding their way amongst the thorns

Pain along the way, but worth the run

Knowing that they are better together than apart

Seeing each other closer to that path

Meeting along that path they were supposed to journey as one

A long walk back, an odyssey prevailed

Combined, two hearts become one.

Now coming together to make a fresh start

Today, Tomorrow, Forever

There was a time you loved me with no doubt

Then one day that love ran out

The feelings you had for me where gone

You wanted nothing but to be left alone

A sad heart was what afflicted you

I had ignored your cries, I ignored your pleas

Abandoning your despair, you were prepared to leave

I became distraught I became bereaved

Crying out to God to change this blackened heart of mine

Running out of time

He heard my cries, He heard my pleas

A changed heart was His decree

My heart is yours wholly if you desire

Winning your love is what I aspire

This journey to join us back as one

A pilgrimage I will travel until I have won

A Love Story

Once upon a time
I know a bit cliché
There was a boy and a girl
At first sight it was anything but a delight
But a relationship did sprout
Soon distance between them seemed to put it all in pearl
Closer they grew and soon the two became one
Life was grand and their love did blossom
Bundles of joy soon did follow
Time went along and as always troubles did ensue
Eventually a breaking point did occur between these two
However the end was not to be
Perseverance was their way
A love that would not go away
Life continued on with bumps along the way
How they made it where others would falter
Then one day he made a decision that would put them to the test
A mistake it was looking back
What will become of these two is yet to be seen
But I believe that a love that once was can be again
To be continued…..

Delirious Intentions

He was all in for this shin ding
Right from the very start
At the beginning he knew it was the right thing
Once started they would never be apart
The craziness of it all was what he craved
An intenseness that was felt to the core
Its appeal was what made him its slave
The awesomeness left him crawling upon the floor
So for just a taste of a scrumptious smudge
Going after it with a vengeance
A taste of that homemade fudge
Left him with such delirious intentions
At the thought of being able to lick that bowl clean at the end.

Hope

Hope is such a small but exciting word
Even when things look bleakest
Hope is a knowledge that there is always light in the darkness
It allows you to continue on
And it shows you a path to go upon
Hope is just that an idea that things will get better
So when you feel like your life is down
Search for that word that will turn it around
Hope will find you when you least expect it
Providing you an idea of what life can be
So keep your chin up
And always look for the hope in the good
Because when you realize it
It is always darkest before the dawn
God gave us a hope in this world
Through his son who is the Light of this World
So find that hope and it will set you free.
As it has done for me

What I see when I look at you
I see a future that is so bright
Your smile shines right into my soul
Looking into your eyes puts me into a trance
I am unable to look away from your beauty
Yet you are so much more to me
Compassion for others, with a heart so big and loving
So beautiful on the outside, and so beautiful on the inside
A gift from God you are to me
Every moment you are on my thoughts
I talk to the breeze hoping it sends you my love
To hold you in my arms is one of my greatest desires
Holding you close and never letting go
So I send this note of love your way
To let you know that I am never going away
Two become one and we are stronger together
Always and Forever are not just words, but a promise to be together
No more insecurities of what we have
A bond made through time that will last until the end.
