Days pass by like a slow-moving stream
Upon your heart I wait upon a dream
Future for two souls entwined over time
The day will come when I am yours and you are mine
Till that day I count the mornings as they past
Waiting to be in your arms at last
Until that day I come home to you

I am thankful for my beautiful loving wife and my 4 wonderful girls and two son-in-laws and all the rest of the family that comes with it. I am also thankful for all of you for enjoying my writing over these years. I am no writer, but thanks to that beautiful wife of mine I have discovered something I never knew I had inside me.
Wow, such a powerful song, that’s why I put the one with the lyrics. This song just hit me hard. I think back to my big sister, she was the one that really left an imprint on me in so many ways. I still think would she be proud of what her little brother has become. I don’t know if she really realized how important she was to her little brother. I hope she knows, but it does sometimes I still feel torn to pieces.
A thousand miles away
He sits alone in his room
Waiting for that special day
When their time together can resume
The thoughts of what is to come
Drives him forward through each day
As he feels his world come undone
He knows he must pray
His heart for her has always been smitten
Even though she may not believe it true
The day they met it was written
She made his zest for life brand new
So, he sits and waits alone
Sometimes just wanting to scream
He remembers his love back home
Which is the dream of all dreams

It was just a look
A moment in time
Into a future she was took
His eyes were sublime
He glanced back at her
A warmth began to grow
The emotions began to stir
A feeling he always did know
Together they had been
Years always passing by
A love from way back when
Without a question they knew why
Still he was struck by her appearance
A beauty that had always endured
Her face flashed such a blushing brilliance
A lifetime together was secured

Two lives upon this earth did meet
From separate worlds they did greet
Fell for one another once upon a time
A romance that felt so sublime
As the years passed by
Their relationship began to petrify
Conversations not had
The spark had gone dead
At the end of the rope
When they both had lost hope
A second chance did arise
Though many tears they did cry
The scars though run deep
Causing many restless nights of sleep
A spark of love began to flame
But distance between did gain
Two different people they did become
What in the end would be the outcome
Searching for things anew
A life together seen through

Time slips by slow and lazy
Pleading for it to go faster
Leaving the days hazy
Somedays it is my master
A future that lies ahead
Wishing it was now here
But time slips by like the walking dead
Wanting the days to just disappear
A light so dims in the tunnel
But each day that passes
Brings us nearer as a couple
Still the days move like molasses
Near to my heart

Has been hard from the start
Leaving you alone
