There was a time you loved me with no doubt

Then one day that love ran out

The feelings you had for me where gone

You wanted nothing but to be left alone

A sad heart was what afflicted you

I had ignored your cries, I ignored your pleas

Abandoning your despair, you were prepared to leave

I became distraught I became bereaved

Crying out to God to change this blackened heart of mine

Running out of time

He heard my cries, He heard my pleas

A changed heart was His decree

My heart is yours wholly if you desire

Winning your love is what I aspire

This journey to join us back as one

A pilgrimage I will travel until I have won

A Love Story

Once upon a time
I know a bit cliché
There was a boy and a girl
At first sight it was anything but a delight
But a relationship did sprout
Soon distance between them seemed to put it all in pearl
Closer they grew and soon the two became one
Life was grand and their love did blossom
Bundles of joy soon did follow
Time went along and as always troubles did ensue
Eventually a breaking point did occur between these two
However the end was not to be
Perseverance was their way
A love that would not go away
Life continued on with bumps along the way
How they made it where others would falter
Then one day he made a decision that would put them to the test
A mistake it was looking back
What will become of these two is yet to be seen
But I believe that a love that once was can be again
To be continued…..

While you are away

While you are gone

My Love for you will not sway

I feel you in my heart

I feel you in my soul

Distance does not keep us apart

In the past letters were written by pen and paper

Then emails made are word come quicker

Phone calls once a king’s ransom have become a pittance

Now a text, Skype or FaceTime makes communication slicker

But nothing changes with the pieces of my heart

They are tied to you

From the day I said I do

 

 

 

Hope

Hope is such a small but exciting word
Even when things look bleakest
Hope is a knowledge that there is always light in the darkness
It allows you to continue on
And it shows you a path to go upon
Hope is just that an idea that things will get better
So when you feel like your life is down
Search for that word that will turn it around
Hope will find you when you least expect it
Providing you an idea of what life can be
So keep your chin up
And always look for the hope in the good
Because when you realize it
It is always darkest before the dawn
God gave us a hope in this world
Through his son who is the Light of this World
So find that hope and it will set you free.
As it has done for me

What I See When I Look At You

What I see when I look at you
I see a future that is so bright
Your smile shines right into my soul
Looking into your eyes puts me into a trance
I am unable to look away from your beauty
Yet you are so much more to me
Compassion for others, with a heart so big and loving
So beautiful on the outside, and so beautiful on the inside
A gift from God you are to me
Every moment you are on my thoughts
I talk to the breeze hoping it sends you my love
To hold you in my arms is one of my greatest desires
Holding you close and never letting go
So I send this note of love your way
To let you know that I am never going away
Two become one and we are stronger together
Always and Forever are not just words, but a promise to be together
No more insecurities of what we have
A bond made through time that will last until the end.

The Edge of Forever

Upon a journey he had never experienced

Never before had he believed possible

Against all probability

Along roads that had seen nothing but rejection

Many routes he did follow all ended in near destruction

Finally, a path found that led him to the edge of forever

He stumbled along that razor thin ridge line

Scared that this might end in his final decline

When all hope was thought lost

Over the edge he tossed

Unto forever his heart found a home

And into a place it was meant to roam

Misty Morning Melancholy

As the darkness of night fades away
Before the brightness of the coming day
She sits upon a bed made for two
Another night she has made it through
Counting each moment, they are apart
Her heart was his from the very start
Knowing that the time grows short
The words of his love upon which she finds support
Upon this morn she finds no jolly
It is nothing but another misty morning melancholy

Ramblings

The silence abounds all around me

Only the quiet clacking of my keyboard tapping

Thoughts and visions of her face is what I see

Her love is what keeps my mind from snapping

The days they pass by in slow haze

Waiting upon this ending so I can start a new beginning

Trying to fight this deadly malaise

Until then my thoughts inside my head keep spinning

For she is my light in the dark

Upon her soul I take hold

Waiting for the journey of life with her to embark

Next to her is where I want to be as I grow old

Wounds of My Past

Deep pains that I thought would never pass

Scars of my youth I tried to stay hidden

Running from what I thought was so wrong

Hiding within a mask wishing I would never be found

All these traumas and bruises of what I believed not right

Kept me from you and out of the light

For years I hid from you what was hidden in my head

I thought I was a monster who should have been dead

You came to me with only your tenderness

I hid from you in the wilderness

Then a day came where it all began to crack

Letting my guard down I came out of the black

Opening up to you about my pains and my past

I thought you would flee

But instead you stayed with me

Freedom I found that day not long ago

Breaking these chains from my that which held me low

With that freedom came a love I had denied

It flowed from me like river run wild

My scars and pains laid bare

A love I have for you is eternal I swear

My Rock

Upon a rash decision in my life
Things nearly came undone
I left my family in strife
Thinking to myself what have I done
Took a path that led me away
Wished upon an unlikely outcome
It led me down a darkened highway
Leaving my mind and body numb
Luckily for me I have an angel in my life
Someone who loves me even though I’ve caused nothing but strife
She is my foundation and my rock
Into her arms is where I will always go back
Upon her my love pours out
Together forever we will be no doubt
