A thousand miles away

He sits alone in his room

Waiting for that special day

When their time together can resume

 

The thoughts of what is to come

Drives him forward through each day

As he feels his world come undone

He knows he must pray

 

His heart for her has always been smitten

Even though she may not believe it true

The day they met it was written

She made his zest for life brand new

 

So, he sits and waits alone

Sometimes just wanting to scream

He remembers his love back home

Which is the dream of all dreams

Time slips by slow and lazy

Pleading for it to go faster

Leaving the days hazy

Somedays it is my master

 

A future that lies ahead

Wishing it was now here

But time slips by like the walking dead

Wanting the days to just disappear

 

A light so dims in the tunnel

But each day that passes

Brings us nearer as a couple

Still the days move like molasses

 

Near to my heart

Is where you will always be

You have been there since the start

Our future is bright I foresee

 

Soon the time will be counted away

Coming home to you

I shall forever stay

We shall embrace in a romantic rendezvous

Doubt creeps into my head
Losing you is my biggest fear
Through this my insecurities fed
Feeling you fade away my dear

Being so far apart
A mistake of mine I see
Weighs so heavily on my heart
With you is where I need to be

Seeing your face upon the screen
Your words of love I hold onto
The missteps in my life you’ve seen
But you’ve yet to say adieu

I hold onto a future so bright
You and I become Us
Next to you feels so right
Together again is a must

Being apart

Has been hard from the start

Leaving you alone

A sin I must atone

By your side

Is where I should reside

My past mistakes

Left you with heart aches

Our love is honest and true

But what can I do

Feeling you slipping away

Praying you will stay

Without you

I am through

Hoping you’re still there I pray

Knowing I should have stayed

Hoping it’s not too late

To set our love straight

The miles between you and I are hard to take

A decision I made was an awful mistake

Leaving behind what I love and adore

For a chance at something, what for

Each day that passes brings me near

To the one I cherish my dear

Home in your arms I belong

I just wish it wouldn’t take so long

My life with you is what I desire

To be with you I shall never tire

You my love are my one and only

Away from you my life is lonely

I’m Back….

Just want to say hello again. I know it’s been a while since I have been on here. I had to take a little trip over the past several months that made it difficult to write. Also, the internet wasn’t that great either. Just a tip, Sand is not good for electronics or for yourself either. It is good to be back and I look forward to the day I finally come home to stay. So again, I just want to say Hello to y’all out there.
