The Blue Screen of Death

On a night much stormier than this
Came a cry from out of the mist
A blood curling cry did pierce the night
It startled me with such a fright
What could bring such dread
Was it a monster or the walking dead
I ran to see what caused such a stir
Nothing but a blur
What caused this shrill from my friend Beth
But having a project due and getting the blue screen of death

The Trolls of Twilight

Beware the night
When the moon is at full light
The fog rolls across the marsh
A chill in the bones so harsh
It can bring a shiver up your spine
What lurks in the shadow’s blind
You can hear the whisper in the trees
A sound that will make you freeze
What can be moving within those woods
Something you dread moving into your neighborhood
They will frighten you at first sight
The trolls of twilight

Worrisome Wailings

Through the walls
And down the halls
The only sound that was heard
Was the moaning and the groaning
What could make such a sound
Was it pleasure or was it pain
Always at night
When the moon was bright
The worrisome wailings
Left my courage failing
What could it be
Should I go see
Well maybe I will wait until first light
So, I don’t die from fright

The Secret Doors on the Seventy-Fifth

That old building stood in the center of town
The tallest build to been from all around
For 100 years or more it was planted firm within the ground
Years and decades would pass it by
The mysterious of what lay inside
They talk of a crazy old man
Who lived in that building since what seemed like before time began
The whole top floor you they say
Is where that old man did stay
One set of stairs would lead you up that way
Into a hall where darkness lay
A treasure some said was what was hidden behind
Thoughts of bodies they said he killed came to others mind
The tales where mainly a bunch of rumor and myth
What lay behind the secret doors on the seventy-fifth

A Fragrant Fog

Upon a moonlit night

Out past the end of town just a bit

Deep into the woods it came

Moving over the trees and brush

It came with a silent hush

Crawling over the ground it came without a sound

Filling every part of ground, it found

Into the village it came

A fragrant fog stole into the homes

Leaving them nothing but sweet-smelling tombs.
