A day when many knew they would die, but they went anyways. They did because the believed what they were fighting for was a cause greater than themselves. This is why we call them the “Greatest Generation”. God Bless them all.

A Soldier's Walk 
We owe so much to them and to others even if they have not had to go. The standing at the “ready” is noteworthy.

Gen Eisenhower also had another letter written if the invasion was to fail where he took the blame. It was a gamble paid out by those brave men who hit the beaches and jumped behind enemy lines. They are my heros and why I love what I do.
