A basket full of rose petals
Scattered colors of red and white
The colors of love and purity
Tiny steps lead the way of the bride to be
Dressed in white, step in step her father at her side
Tiny hands reach into the basket of petals so deep
Grasping a handful she tosses them about
Scattered rose petals fall gently to the ground
A smile so bright it radiates the sun
Cute little dimples she leads the way
Walking and tossing them all around
Leading the way as two becomes one

What I’ve Been Up To
Hello all my Blogger friends out there. Just wanted to let you all know what has been going on with myself. Well I’m not sick or anything like that. I have made that large change in my life. This journey over the past month has taken me to South Carolina and now to Fort Polk in Louisiana for now. Next month my journey will take me even farther away from my family for an extended amount of time. Once I can get myself settled in I will be back amongst you my friends. Please pray for my family during this time we are apart. Thank you for your time and understanding.

Time rolls by like a snail on the move
Unable to decide what to do
The clock ticks slowly by, like a drop of the morning dew
As the sun arrives and the night bids adieu
The hours slip by like a thief in the night
Stealing away everything within his sight

Today I begin my new journey and path in my life. I am going back into the Active Army to finish out my career. I don’t know all were this will take me, but I am ready to give it a go. Being older than most of the people I will be serving with should be interesting. I have enjoyed my last 10 years in the National Guard and have made many friends, but now I have a greater task and purpose in my life. Please pray for my family as we will be apart for some time.
