Dandelion Dreams
Dreams of far off places
Wishes for adventures in exotic lands
Hoping for best friends
Praying that her daddies trip will soon end
Blowing upon a weed full of hope
She exhales upon her dandelion dreams

What I’ve Been Up To
Hello all my Blogger friends out there. Just wanted to let you all know what has been going on with myself. Well I’m not sick or anything like that. I have made that large change in my life. This journey over the past month has taken me to South Carolina and now to Fort Polk in Louisiana for now. Next month my journey will take me even farther away from my family for an extended amount of time. Once I can get myself settled in I will be back amongst you my friends. Please pray for my family during this time we are apart. Thank you for your time and understanding.

Today marks an end
Having to say goodbye to so many friends
A change in life
Can bring so much strife
Uncertainties abound
Clarity often not found
Praying each day
That God will lead my way
An end to a chapter
One that was full of tears and laughter

What a Difference a Year Makes
What a difference a year makes
Just twelve short months ago we were as far apart as the earth and the moon
Both hidden inside ourselves
Ready for it all to end
A love we thought built to last
A union of two coming to past
Miracles we soon learned do exist
At a bottom, our relationship did almost land
But two hearts were taken in hand
A hand of God placed upon us
Light of the world shown into our lives
Rising out of that dark place we had settled
Day by day we learned to love one another
A truer more deeper love than we had known before
Doubts were always on the horizon, challenges still lay in our path
Fighting for what we had begun so many years ago had just begun
Good days and bad, we made it through
Now ahead lays the biggest challenge we will face
Just know that my heart burns only for you
You are my love, my life, my one true bright shining star
Just twelve short months ago, I know it would have ended in ruins
But know now my heart and soul rests with you and yours with me

Hello Out There It’s Me!
Just an update for everyone out there in Bloggerland. I haven’t really had much chance to write much and when I do my brain has been going on overdrive. I am in the midst of a huge change in my life which I am both excited about and a bit scared about. The where I will be going is mostly figured out, just a lot of unknown still ahead. I ask prayer for my way ahead for not only myself, but my family. I won’t say too much about what it is right now, but I will give a hint that the name of my blog is a good give away. Hopefully my brain will settle down and let me get back to writing. I tried the other day and it felt like my head was going to explode. I hope to try to catch up on reading many of your blogs soon. Of course on top of this all I have been working long hours in my current position due to the bad weather that has hampered our state over the past week. I hope for the best for all of you out there. I pray for safety and health for you all. Stay in touch and I hope to reenter this family of bloggers soon.

How do you heal a hurt
A pain that is ever present
Knowing that what causes it will never go away
How do you fix an injury to the soul
A deep scar that is always there
Flaring up when they are least aware
Sometimes a hug or a word are enough of a salve
To put out the fire of that deep painful ache
How do you help the one you love
Whatever the solution I have yet to find
But I will never stop until the end of time
